Harvesting of wild garlic (Allium ursinum), March 2020
With the 4th graders, we went to the nearby forest, where we harvest wild garlic each year. We pick up wild garlic leaves and make pesto out of it. We sell jars of pesto on our School market each Friday. Our wish is to go and harvest more wild garlic as soon the situation calms down with the Coronavirus pandemic. Experts say that eating wild garlic helps us to strengthen our immune system.
